Evangelism |
Our church family is grateful for our relationship with God. God has given us the assurance of salvation and the certainty that we will spend eternity with Him. We believe that God desires for us to share His message of salvation and hope with our community and the world. In an effort to accomplish this our church is engaged in many purposeful outreach and evangelism ministries. We have F.A.I.T.H teams that are trained in evangelism. We sponsor regular Kindness Evangelism projects and we are planning to offer the Alpha Course very soon. Pray for us and join us as we seek to serve our community by sharing the message of Christ.

Fellowship |
We believe that healthy Christians share their lives with each other. At Truitt we strive to, “weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.” Our Deacon ministry, prayer groups, Sunday school classes, and fellowships offer our church members many avenues through which we bear one another’s burdens. We love to laugh together and are grateful that we do not have to walk through troubling times alone. Our fellowship is open and inclusive. Our family will never be large enough.

Discipleship |
God’s purpose for the church is for us to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ. In Matthew’s gospel Jesus says: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (RSV)
We experience the joy of God’s presence as we celebrate Jesus’ call to discipleship. Our church offers open-ended discipleship classes for all ages through our Sunday School ministry. We encourage persons to join these classes at any time and have witnessed the spiritual growth of many through this time-tested method. We also offer a number of closed group courses through a ministry called Equipped To Serve (E.T.S). E.T.S. courses are thirteen-week courses designed to offer a more in depth exploration of the Christian faith. Based on a semester system E.T.S courses meet in the autumn, winter, and spring. We would love for you to join us as we serve Christ by learning and obeying his word. Email us for brochures on Sunday School and Equipped To Serve or for a list of current course offerings.

Community Service |
We are a church striving to serve Christ and community. In an effort to show the love of Christ in a practical way our church operates an emergency food pantry. Volunteers work to serve over fifty families monthly and are seeing an increase in our level of ministry. I addition to a faith based partnership with the Mississippi Food Network our members donate food on a weekly basis to meet the needs of our community. Our Community Service Committee works to offer emergency assistance to needy families in the name of Christ. We also partner with the Ranking County Human Resource Agency, the Pearl Ministerial Alliance, and BFPR.Org to do together what we cannot do alone.

Worship |
God’s longing is to be worshipped among the nations. The most important activity a Christian engages in is the worship of God. At TMBC we believe worship is a gift from God and our gift of gratitude to God. In effort to worship in, “Spirit and in truth,” we regularly employ many different worship elements. We sing traditional hymns and contemporary songs. We use liturgical readings and the lectionary during important seasons of the Christian calendar and we employ current technology to prompt our devotion. We baptize and celebrate the Lord’s Supper. We believe that the most important aspect of worship is the heart in love with God. God’s love needs to be celebrated. Join us as we worship each week. |
